My name is Hetty Koekoek and on this site I am sharing with you how I tamed my mind to experience more peace and calm. You can find out what worked for me (and what did not). It is about my personal experience, I am not a professional therapist. Over the years I have been simplifying my life to improve my happiness and to feel more calm.
Life can be overwhelming

Organise your place, time and thinking
I was finding life hard, while I had just about everything a person could wish for. I realised that that was wrong. It had to change. I started searching for ways to get less overwhelmed by my thinking, by my stuff, by my work, by my whole life. I did not know where to start. It turned out that for me decluttering was the most effective in starting to change my life. (Organise your Place). That was what had the most impact. At the same time I have been looking hard at what I wanted and needed to spend the my energy and time on in my life. (Organise your Time) Only when I had those two areas sorted a started to gain wellbeing through meditation and mindfulness. (Organise your Thinking).
I start posting in this order: first of all how to Organise your Place, then Time and finally Thinking. For the time being only ‘Organise your Place’ has been published. I am a fan of life long learning and hope to share my learning journey with you.
I hope that by reading my posts, you will get inspired to simplify your life and as a result improve your life and wellbeing too.
